adidas Augmented Reality: The PR is all in the Execution 22nd Feb 2010

We're all on the look out for the next big thing in technology; especially the technologies which can help us better market our products to tech savvy young people. Augmented Reality is a very good case in point.

I must admit I’ve been pretty indifferent about AR. It's always seemed like such a micro execution; a great big idea but with a minimal audience. However, because AR is one of these bright shiny new things, it’s the PR where the real value lies.

adidas have created a great AR experience, however what they have done perfectly is created a buzz around it. Few will buy, many will engage. They've created a technology HALO.
